Morning Coffee Is Better Outside
The morning can feel different when its first few minutes happen outside. Before messages, errands and noise take over, a quiet cup of coffee in the backyard creates a gentler beginning.
Keep your morning spot ready
A hammock chair is especially well suited to this ritual: supportive enough for a mug and a book, but relaxed enough to make the moment feel separate from the rest of the day. Keep a small table within reach and a light throw nearby.
Take in the early light
Morning is often the calmest time in the yard. Notice the cooler air, the sound of birds and the way sunlight moves across the plants. You don’t need to be productive here.
Give yourself twenty minutes
The ritual doesn’t have to be long. A small pocket of time outside can create a sense of space before the schedule begins. Coffee tastes better when there is nowhere else you need to be—at least for a little while.
