Description

One lightweight piece of camping gear, six ways to use it when your campsite or conditions change.

The GrandTrunk Moab All-In-One Shelter Hammock converts from a single hammock into a canopy, A-frame bivy, lean-to shelter, tent footprint, or sunshade. Waterproof ripstop silnylon, taped seams, tensioning hardware, and included stakes give you adaptable shelter options without loading your pack with multiple separate pieces.

  • 6-in-1 versatility: hammock, canopy, A-frame bivy, lean-to, footprint, or sunshade
  • Weather protection: waterproof 20D premium ripstop silnylon with taped seams
  • Easy to carry: weighs 22 oz.
  • Ready for multiple configurations: cord, tension locks, and four aluminum stakes included

Why We Love It

The Moab earns its place in a camping kit by doing the work of several pieces of gear. It gives you the flexibility to change your setup as the campsite, weather, or time of day changes without adding unnecessary bulk.

Best for: adaptable camping setups, backpacking, minimalist gear lists, changing weather, and campers who want both hammock and ground-shelter options.

Will It Fit My Space?

Fully opened, the Moab measures 9 ft. 8 in. long × 6 ft. 8 in. wide. The space and anchor points you need vary by configuration.

  • Hammock mode: use structurally suitable anchor points with a properly rated suspension system.
  • Shelter modes: choose a site with enough room for the selected configuration, cords, and stakes.
  • Before you go: practice the configurations you plan to use and confirm your campsite supports the required anchors or staking.

What's Included?

  • Moab All-In-One Shelter Hammock
  • Cord with tension locks
  • 4 aluminum stakes, 8 in. each

Not included: hammock straps and other hammock suspension equipment.

Setup & Compatibility

Configure the Moab as a hammock or shelter based on your campsite and conditions. Cord and tension locks help adjust shelter configurations, while the included stakes support ground-based setups. For hammock use, connect it only to a properly rated suspension system and suitable anchors. Inspect the fabric, taped seams, cords, stakes, suspension, and anchor points before use.

Camping/travel hammocksPacks small, hangs between two trees, and goes wherever you do.

Lightweight nylon or polyester that packs down small, so it earns a place in a backpack or the trunk of a car. Most come with carabiners, and many include tree straps or another suspension, so all you need is two trees or posts. Some models add an integrated bug net, a rain shelter or an insulated sleeping bag for overnight trips. There are one-person and two-person sizes, rated from 300 to 500 lb.

  • Camping and backpacking
  • Road trips and travel

Impressed so far

This tarp is exactly what i have been looking for to pair with my bivy sack on long distance hikes. Used it several times now and has exceeded my expectations. Excellent build quality, able to secure a taut pitch quickly and the cord storage pouches are a plus. Haven't had a chance to test in the rain yet but so far so good.

So good I bought another one for a gift

This tarp makes for a great ultralight shelter. The tie-out points are easy to use and well reinforced, and the lack of stretch means that there's very little droop even after it's been set up for multiple days in varying conditions. No waking up with the shelter several inches closer to my face than when I went to sleep! It's nicely water[roof as well; I recently used it as a rain shelter over a hammock during a severe thunderstorm, and if the one stake hadn't pulled loose, I would have stayed completely dry. It does also work well as a hammock. Just bought a second one for a buddy to take on bikepacking adventures.

Great Multi-Use Piece of Gear!

Love the design of this and the ability to be used for multiple things. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use from this. I hope they come out with a couple other colors like yellow, gold, tan or gray. If they do I'll be purchasing another one. I purchased the ocean blue and wonder if I should have gotten the green?
