Roomy rope-hammock comfort in a hanging chair that fits more easily into everyday spaces.
The Mocha Large Hammock Chair features a handwoven soft-spun polyester seat that gently flexes with the body. Its 48-inch hardwood spreader bar provides generous shoulder room without requiring the footprint of an extra-wide chair, and the extended seat forms a comfortable footrest.
Rich brown tones create a warm, grounded look.
- Roomy comfort: 48-inch spreader bar provides ample shoulder space
- Built-in footrest: extended rope seat supports the legs
- Outdoor-friendly: polyester cord and marine-varnished hardwood
- Space-conscious: generous seating without the width of the Jumbo chair
Why We Love It
This is our classic comfort pick for shoppers who want room to stretch out without moving up to the widest hanging-chair size. The handwoven seat, open construction, and built-in footrest create an inviting place to read, relax, or enjoy the breeze.
Best for: porches, patios, covered decks, reading corners, and spaces where a roomy but more manageable chair is preferred.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it include hanging hardware?
No. Ceiling or beam hardware and a hammock-chair stand are sold separately.
What is the difference between the Large and Jumbo chairs?
The Large chair uses a 48-inch spreader bar, while the Jumbo chair uses a wider 55-inch bar for additional shoulder room.
Does it include a footrest?
The extended rope seat itself can be positioned beneath the legs to create a footrest.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. Its polyester cord and marine-varnished hardwood are suitable for outdoor use, although protected storage will help preserve the chair.
How much clearance does it need?
Plan for at least 8½ ft. of vertical clearance and adequate open space around the chair.
Instead of lying flat, you sit or recline, so it suits reading or a morning coffee as well as a doze. Most hang from a single point; the Cumbia range hangs from two. A ceiling beam, a sturdy branch or a chair stand all work, and the footprint is a fraction of a full-size hammock's. Weather-resistant polypropylene and polyester rope are made for outdoors, while organic cotton suits indoors and covered porches.
- Balconies, porches and small spaces
- Reading and morning coffee
- Indoors or out, depending on the fabric
- A gentle swing rather than lying flat
- Hang only from a beam, hook or stand rated for the load
- Cumbia chairs hang from two points, most others from one
- Minimum hanging heights run from about 5 ft 7 in to 8 ft 6 in
